This is a fine print reproduction of a  WWII era propaganda poster by Melbourne Brindle, produced for the War Production Board and published by the U.S. Government Printing Office in Washington D.C. This vintage poster presents an image of two Navy men of the Aircraft Maintenance Squadron loading bombs onto a jet bound for Berlin.

The title "Bundles of Berlin," is an obvious tongue-in-cheek pun as the United States. Throughout the duration of WWII, Berlin, then the capital of Nazi Germany, was subjected to just 360 air raids. Remnants from those air raids are still visible today throughout much of the city.

Melbourne Brindle was an Australian-American illustrator and painter. His work included posters for World War II war bonds, magazine illustrations and covers, and US postage stamps. He was born in and named after Melbourne, Australia.
