This bright pictorial map features Los Angeles and its environs according to the artist's impression of it in the early 1930's. Much attention is paid to commerce and industry, with myriad sites pictured and named. The index in the lower right quadrant identifies by name places of interest, government buildings and complexes, industrial buildings and sites including oilfields, various movie studios, entertainment centers and tourist attractions. The names of seventeen well-known movie stars are included in the index.
